With close to 3,000 residents in a single square mile of land, Nahant is the smallest municipality in Essex County. Serving as a residential community, Nahant is a small town jutting into Massachusetts Bay, where it sits on a peninsula with Nahant Bay and Broad Sound on its eastern and western shores. The town is connected to the mainland off Lynn through a narrow isthmus called Nahant Road, which offers several beaches for locals and tourists alike.
In the early 19th century, Nahant opened up its first hotel. A few years later, the town was on route for a steamboat that ran daily between Boston and Nahant. Because of this, Nahant grew to be a famous tourist town with plenty of entertainment, amusement parks, sandy beaches—all around serving as a perfect summer retreat for tourists.
But because Nahant is 93% water, residents and visitors are all too familiar with the downsides of coastal living, like termites and mosquitos and ticks, among others. The good news is that Greenhow Pest Control is native to the area and knows exactly how to identify and tackle these unwanted pests.
