Mansfield is a charming suburban town in Massachusetts, with the village of Mansfield Center being its central hub. With just 23 thousand residents and close proximity to Boston’s urban center as well as Rhode Island, it has become an increasingly popular destination for those looking for more space or simply seeking quality living.
One of the most notable things about Mansfield is that it was largely settled by men who served in the Revolutionary War. These men all had a desire to build their new society but they never forgot about the defense of their country.
This manifested itself when in 1745, John Caswell (East Mansfield) served as a lieutenant in an expedition from Massachusetts to Louisburg. The town also played a major role in the French and Indian War, with thirty-eight people going to fight from there and 251 people serving during the course of the American Revolution.
Despite the many changes and transformations that have brought this town into the present day, its climate remains steady. Residents know that its lush green spaces and humid sea air makes Mansfield the perfect environment for pests like mosquitoes and termites.
