Did you know that Lincoln is the only town in the United States to be named after its English counterpart? Other towns called Lincoln are often thought to have come from the Revolutionary War Major General, Benjamin Lincoln, or President Abraham Lincoln.
Much like the English version, most of Lincoln’s land is dedicated to residential and agricultural use. Part of this is because of its rich colonial history and vast amounts of public conservation land.
