The Ames Shovel Company was established in Easton in 1803 which became nationally known for providing shovels for Union Pacific Railroad’s construction. The Ames family shaped the Town’s economy and its geography and architecture with their philanthropy.
Easton has many things that make it great: beautiful scenery, good schools, great food and entertainment options, and low crime rates. But there are also some downsides to living here. Thanks to Boston’s cold winters, rodents and pests often make their way inside Easton homes and businesses.
